‘My General’
Spain, 1987, 107 minutes , 10 p.m . A warm, clever comedy in which director Jaime de Arminan strikes a deft balance between the satirical and the sentimental. A group of generals sign up for a course in modern warfare an revert to frat behavior. Beneath the hilarity, there’s the reminder that they are military leaders--providing terrific roles for Spain’s finest veteran actors Fernando Rey, Fernando Fernan Gomez and Hector Alterio.
