Events in the news this week.
Beginning Wednesday, traffic surveys will be handed to motorists at on-ramps to freeways and major highways in central and southern Orange County. The questionnaires are part of a traffic and revenue study for proposed toll roads in Orange County.
At seven sites daily through May 26, motorists will be stopped and given questionnaires asking, for example, where their trips began, their destinations, how often they use that route and how many people ride in their vehicles.
