Top Catch Is 11-Pound, 4-Ounce Trout
An 11-pound, 4-ounce brown trout was the largest fish reported caught on opening day of the Eastern High Sierra trout season Saturday, according to final figures.
The fish was taken from Rush Creek near Mono Lake by Gene Cox of Rosamond, using a worm.
Reports of a 13-pounder caught on the East Walker River were not confirmed.
