Mitsumasa Matsuyama of Japan won the Vancouver International Marathon in 2:19:29.
a time of 2 hours 19 minutes 20 seconds at Vancouver, Canada.
One minute behind Matsuyama came Yoshihiro Ohashi and Tetsuji Iwase, last year’s winner, finished third in 2:21:58. Takehiko Kikuchi completed the Japanese sweep, finishing fourth in 2:22:44.
The first woman finisher was Isabelle Dittburner, 27, who completed the course in 2:50:33.
