Local News in Brief : Police Identify Bike Rider Killed by Car
A woman killed while riding a bicycle was identified Tuesday as a 53-year-old Glendale resident, police said.
Elena Gracia was killed Monday at 6 a.m. when the bike she was riding in a traffic lane on Glenoaks Boulevard near Central Avenue was struck from behind by a car driven by Muriel White, 73, of Glendale, police said.
Gracia carried no identification but police learned her name by tracing the serial number of her bike to the store that sold it, police said. The accident is under investigation.
