Gastineau, Stallone’s Ex-Wife Are Expecting

Defensive end Mark Gastineau of the New York Jets said Wednesday that Brigitte Nielsen, his Swedish actress girlfriend and the former wife of actor Sylvester Stallone, is expecting their child.

“You can just say . . . you can just say she’s pregnant,” said Gastineau, who became famous for his sack dance over fallen opponents’ quarterbacks. He said he met Nielsen while they were working out at a San Diego health club during Super Bowl week in January.

Gastineau is seeking a divorce from his wife, Lisa, whose lawyer, Raoul Lionel Felder, said: “A man does not go around bragging in public about impregnating his girlfriend while his divorce case is still pending.”

Nielsen is in Rome making a movie. She sent Gastineau 99 roses at the opening of the Jets’ mini-camp to announce the pregnancy.

Gastineau, who wears No. 99, said he will marry Nielsen as soon as his divorce is final.
