20 Hurt as Locomotive Rams Passenger Train

SOUTH AMBOY, N.J. —
A locomotive rammed the back of an NJ Transit Corp. passenger train along the North Jersey Coast Line on Thursday, and police said at least 20 people were injured. The passenger train was waiting for a signal at the Raritan River bridge when it was hit by a work engine, said Rose Sheridan, a spokeswoman for NJ Transit.
