Local News in Brief : John Wayne Airport : Construction to Partially Close Main Entrance
Construction work to install a new water main will partially close the main entrance to the airport off MacArthur Boulevard at Airport Way from 9 p.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Two of the four lanes will be closed, but one lane in and out of the airport on Airport Way will remain open throughout the night, airport officials said.
The construction work is part of the ongoing $296-million airport improvement project that calls for a new terminal in 1990 and a new parking structure in 1991.
