An Arizona-based company that markets “Rain-X,” a liquid that weatherproofs windshields, is suing feisty “60 Minutes” commentator Andy Rooney because he said the product didn’t work. The company, Unelko, filed suit against CBS Inc. and Rooney in U.S. District Court in Phoenix, asking $15 million in punitive damages. CBS had “60 Minutes” anchor Mike Wallace read a letter on the air recently from race-car driver Mario Andretti praising Rain-X. But Wallace also noted that Andretti is a spokesman for Unelko.
