Local News in Brief : Santa Ana : Man Found Strangled; Police Seeking Clues
Police said they have few clues in a slaying that took place in a mobile home at 2901 W. 1st St.
Sgt. Rick Hicks said Thomas F. Connors, 40, was found about noon Sunday “apparently strangled” in his bed at the mobile home. Hicks said the man’s mother went to the bedroom “after her son failed to keep an appointment, and she found him not breathing.”
She called for paramedics, who pronounced the man dead at the scene, Hicks said. The mother was not identified.
Hicks said there were apparently no witnesses to the death, and there is no known motive. “Information is sketchy at this point,” he said.
