A man was stabbed to death and two were wounded in separate gang-related attacks, including a free-for-all on the Santa Monica Pier that led to 13 arrests, authorities said Sunday.

Delvin Clemons, 27, was fatally stabbed Saturday night at Will Rogers Memorial Park, Sheriff’s Deputy Detta Roberts said. Clemons was walking with a friend about 9:30 p.m. when one of three teen-agers who approached them asked for a cigarette, Roberts said. Clemons was stabbed in the neck as he reached into his pocket to get a cigarette. He was declared dead on arrival at Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center.

Later Saturday, Jose Villegos, 21, of Bell Gardens, was critically wounded in the chest in a shooting in the unincorporated Florence district of South Los Angeles. Roberts said two suspected gang members shot Villegos about 11:45 p.m. He was in stable condition Sunday at the medical center.
