Being Treated in Drug-Alcohol Clinic, Calvin Klein Says
Fashion designer Calvin Klein announced today he is undergoing treatment for alcohol and prescription drug abuse at a Minnesota clinic and will be released at the end of the month.
“A little less than two weeks ago, I checked myself into Hazelden Foundation in Center City, Minn., for treatment,” Klein said in a statement released by his New York office.
The 45-year-old designer, best known for his jeans, said he is being treated for alcohol and prescription drug abuse.
“I imagine that for almost anyone going through something like this it would be a private matter,” he said in the statement. “In my situation I feel compelled to make this public statement because of the many friends and colleagues who have supported my work over the years.”
