Body of Man Apparently Beaten to Death Discovered in Apartment
The body of a 56-year-old man who apparently was beaten to death has been found in his Highland Avenue apartment, police said Wednesday.
The body of Anthony J. Inzerma was found on the bedroom floor in his apartment in the 4300 block of Highland Avenue at about 6 p.m. Tuesday, said San Diego police spokesman Dave Cohen. He had been beaten around the head with an unknown object.
One of Inzerma’s co-workers called police after Inzerma failed to show up for work Monday and Tuesday, Cohen said. Inzerma had been employed as a temporary office worker for the San Diego County Human Relations Commission.
Investigators know no motive in the case, Cohen said. Although the apartment had been ransacked, he said, detectives could not determine if anything was missing.
