Prince’s new album, “Lovesexy,” is running afoul of Minnesota-based department stores, which are refusing to stock the album because its cover art features a nude photo of Prince. “Between 75 and 90 percent of our customers are going to take a pass on it,” said David Lieberman, chairman of Bloomington-based Lieberman Enterprises, which stocks record departments in such department and discount stores as Sears, Wal-Mart, Pamida and ShopKo. “Lovesexy” was scheduled to arrive in record outlets Tuesday, but many stores nationwide, including the Target chain, have rejected it. Other shops will stock the album but keep it behind the counter.
