Local News in Brief : Anaheim : Six People Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash

Six people were injured Friday when a car ran a red light at an intersection and struck a pickup truck and a bus carrying a number of mentally handicapped people, officials said.

The driver of the car, Jan Li, 28, a Yorba Linda resident, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to UCI Medical Center, where she was listed in fair condition Friday afternoon, officials said. Her 2 1/2-year-old daughter, Michelle, suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from UC Irvine Medical Center Friday morning.

Suffering minor injuries in the accident were the driver of the pickup truck, Dawn Wulff, 22, of Anaheim; the driver of the bus, Mia Cawldwell, 23, of Orange, and two passengers in the bus, Brenda Espinoza, 26, of Santa Ana and Debbie Hilbert, 32, of Santa Ana, according to a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol.

A CHP spokesman said it was not known how fast the car was traveling at the time of the collision or how many passengers were in the bus.
