Virgina Tech to Play Georgia Tech in 1990
Associated Press
ATLANTA —
Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech will play their first football game against each other ever in 1990, both schools announced.
The contract calls for just one game, to be played in Atlanta Nov. 10.
Virgnia Tech last played in Atlanta in 1986 when it won the Peach Bowl in a game against North Carolina State. The Hokies are coached by Frank Beamer, who was an assistant to Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Coach Bobby Ross while both were at the University of Maryland.
