Rescuers Free Child Tied to Bed as Blaze Kills 2

SOMERVILLE, Mass. —
Two people died and five were injured Sunday in a house fire where rescuers were forced to cut a child free from straps that held her to a bed.
Fire officials said the child had not been maltreated and was strapped to the bed so that she would not fall off. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
