Former three-time boxing champion Wilfredo Gomez of Puerto Rico said he will start a comeback with a bout July 20 at Miami in an attempt to win a fourth title.

Gomez, 31, who held the World Boxing Council super-bantamweight and featherweight titles and the world junior-lightweight crown, said he would seek the WBC lightweight championship.

He did not say whom he would be fighting but said the bout would be a scheduled 10-rounder.
