Local News in Brief : Fire at Athletic Club Causes $80,000 Damage
Glendale fire officials Sunday were investigating a blaze that caused $80,000 damage to Foothill Athletic Club, 3931 Lowell Ave., La Crescenta.
Fire officials said the blaze broke out about 10 p.m. Saturday in the women’s locker room and sauna on the ground floor of the club, which was closed at the time. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
Firefighters put out the blaze in about 50 minutes, but there was extensive damage from water and smoke, officials said. No one was injured.
