Local News in Brief : Body of Executive Found in Hallway
The badly bruised body of a 36-year-old Camarillo businessman was found Sunday in the hallway of an office building in Thousand Oaks.
Richard Drayman, vice president of Town & Country Mortgage Services, was found dead about 9 a.m. at 2659 Townsgate Road, where the firm has offices, authorities said. Drayman’s body was discovered by “another professional person,” whom investigators declined to identify, said Sgt. Lary Reynolds of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
“We do not know the exact cause of death, but the obvious signs are that he was in a substantial fight,” Reynolds said.
Drayman probably died sometime between about 6 p.m. Saturday night and early Sunday morning, Reynolds said. When personnel left the building Saturday night, Drayman’s body was not in the hallway, which leads to several professional suites, he said.
The motive for the slaying is under investigation and investigators have no suspects, Reynolds said.
