737 Jet Lands on Grassy Area Far From Airport

NEW ORLEANS —
A TACA International Airlines Boeing 737 jetliner lost power in both engines as it approached New Orleans on Tuesday and made an emergency landing in a grassy area six miles away, officials said.
The flight had originated in San Salvador with a stop at Belize. All 36 passengers and nine crew members were unharmed. The plane appeared undamaged.
