Predictions

We bet that Depeche Mode will record its June 18 Rose Bowl concert for an upcoming live album (no doubt because there are at least 35 Depeche live bootlegs floating around Europe). . . . And we predict that MCA Records will soon be celebrating its purchase of Motown Records. The acquisition would give MCA access to Motown’s seemingly inexhaustible catalogue and such artists as Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and Lionel Richie (Motown’s valuable publishing company is apparently not part of the deal).
