THE OUTDOORS : Anglers at Silverwood Land Big Striped Bass
While the recent winds have slowed fishing at many places, fishing for striped bass at San Bernardino County’s Lake Silverwood couldn’t be better.
Andy Meeder of San Bernardino used a white jig to catch a 32-pound striper at the spillway, and Wesley Willhitd, on liberty from nearby George Air Force Base, caught one weighing 29 pounds. Many others, according to a spokesperson at the lake, weighed in at more than 20 pounds.
