Former San Diego State standouts Chris Hardy and Mark Halda were among those kept by the San Diego Thunder as the World Indoor Football League team reduced its roster to 30 players.

The Thunder, which opens its season June 20 against the St. Louis Lightning, must cut eight more players by June 13. Hardy, a former running back, is seeking a spot as wide receiver. Halda, a 29-year-old loan officer from Encinitas, is one of four quarterbacks who have survived the cuts.
