Shed Light on Numbers for a House

M. P. Powers of West Covina has been looking high and low for lighted house numbers for her residence (the illumination comes from behind the numbers). She’s seen these on various houses but is unable to purchase them at building stores or lumber yards. Can you help figure out how to light up Powers’ life, or should we just keep her in the dark over why somebody might be doing a number on her?

Muriel Arnold of Pasadena, who is allergic to microscopic dust mites, needs an all-plastic mattress cover that fits a queen-size bed ; neither linen supply houses nor hospital suppliers had an answer. Can you help with a problem that is nothing to sneeze at, or will Arnold have to stay low because she’s a mite too sensitive?

Ken Campbell of Harbor City would like to get his hands on a pamphlet that will show him how to tie neckties in various knots. Can you help before Campbell is all choked up over this, or might he just as well keep his shirt on as an alternative to being all tied up in knots?

Ollie at (213) 567-2787 would like the D. Savino arrangement of the theme from Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor , an arrangement that evidently has been out of print for more than 50 years. If you could come up with this song of Norway, Ollie would be in--or at least look at--heaven for sure.

Oline Schmiers of Glendale, who needed some 1-inch buttons for a camel’s hair coat, may be over the hump.
