Allied/Federated Department Stores has named two senior Federated executives to lead the company’s New York-based merchandising operations. Frank Doroff, 38, previously president of Bullock’s department store in California, has been named chairman of Federated Merchandising Services. Tom Cole, 39, previously senior vice president for financial services at Federated’s Cincinnati-based Lazarus department store division, has been named president of the FMS organization. Doroff succeeds Gene Rappeport, 61, president and chief executive of FMS, who has announced his retirement.
