No Need for Big Mall
I am writing in regard to “N. Hollywood Partnership Buying Land for Huge Mall” (April 29). It is absolutely appalling what the consequences would be.
First of all, there is not enough land to build all that they want to, so they would have to move a school right into the middle of a residential neighborhood, with all the resulting noise and traffic tie-ups.
We don’t need any more department stores around here. There are several almost within walking distance of here.
Our property values would go down, because nobody would want to live in an environment like this.
A whole section of the Valley would have to suffer so a few rich men would get richer.
I am sure if Ernani Bernardi were still our councilman he would never let this happen.
