Sockers Beat Force, Lead Series, 2-0
Hugo Perez and George Fernandez scored two goals each to lead the San Diego Sockers to a 6-1 victory over the Cleveland Force in Game 2 of the Major Indoor Soccer League championship series Friday night.
The Sockers lead the series, 2-0, with the next three games set for Cleveland.
Perez scored his second goal with 7:55 left in the third quarter to give San Diego a 3-0 lead. Fernandez, a defender, scored his first playoff goal with 1:34 remaining in the third period to put the game out of reach at 4-0.
