A battered woman who shot her husband to death while he was sleeping has been sentenced to 297 days already spent in jail.
Corinne Olson, 21, of El Cajon was released from Las Colinas County Jail Friday by San Diego Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Kutzner. She will not have to serve additional time in jail.
Kutzner ordered Olson to repay the parents of her husband, Clifford Olson, 22, $2,000 for shipping his body to Washington for burial.
She also fined Olson $100 and placed her on five years’ probation.
Olson pleaded guilty May 6 to voluntary manslaughter in the Nov. 19 slaying of her husband of eight months in their El Cajon apartment at 770 S. Magnolia Ave. He was shot three times in the head.
