Art Alliance Gives Awards to 3 Students
The Cal State Fullerton Art Alliance presented awards to three incoming art students on Thursday. Michael Tresaugue of Esperanza High School in Placentia won the $1,000 Myrt Purkiss Scholarship as the outstanding freshman matriculating next fall.
Jennifer K. Ando, a transfer student from El Camino College in Torrance, and Hoang Minh Vu, formerly at Fullerton College, each won $500 scholarships.
The Art Alliance is a volunteer group of the Cal State Fullerton Visual Arts Center that also supports exhibitions, receptions and docent activities.
