Clark Fans

My wife and I were delighted to read the letters about (music director) Keith Clark and the troubled Pacific Symphony. We wish to join the angry fans’ ranks. We have been subscribers to the Rehearsal Series--where you can really see and hear what is going on.

In the past years we have attended rehearsals of Pierre Monteux and Enrique Jorda, and by comparison Keith Clark is just as good--maybe better. Besides, he is an American boy and speaks intelligently and clearly to both the orchestra and the audience. He is an all-American boy, and losing him is a great loss to the Pacific Symphony.

Louis Spisto’s remark about Clark--”He is a dead fish”--raises a question: From what fish cannery did the board recruit him?
