Local News in Brief : Grand Jury Foreman Appointed to 2nd Term
Superior Court Judge Myron S. Brown Friday appointed James O. Lindberg to a second one-year term as foreman of the Orange County Grand Jury.
Brown said in a statement that he solicited applications for the 1988-89 foreman’s spot from all of the current grand jury members. He said all of the members deferred to Lindberg.
Lindberg’s next term begins July 1.
Lindberg, a retired Air Force brigadier general, is a former vice president of public affairs at Dart Industries.
“Mr. Lindberg has fulfilled the duties of foreman this past year with distinction,” said Brown, who is the supervising judge of the grand jury. “I look forward to another year of working with Mr. Lindberg in his capacity as foreman.”
