Local News in Brief : Farrell Recall Bid Fails
Proponents of a recall effort against Los Angeles City Councilman Robert Farrell failed Friday to challenge formally the city clerk’s determination that their recall petitions had fallen short by more than 2,600 signatures.
Needing 12,579 valid signatures, the recall proponents turned in only 9,917, according to the city clerk.
Friday was the deadline for challenging the count.
