City Speeds Process for New Buildings

Share

A cooperative “fast-track” effort between Moorpark city officials, developer Cabot, Cabot & Forbes and its development team has enabled a subsidiary of Teledyne Inc. to move into a new, 200,000-square-foot office and light-manufacturing facility nearly three months faster than usual.

The subsidiary, Teledyne Laars, took all 200,000 square feet in the facility, which is part of CC&F; San Fernando Valley/Ventura County Region’s Moorpark Business Center. Since Teledyne Laars needed the space quickly, Moorpark officials streamlined the issuance of permits and other aspects of the development process.

About 200 people will work in the new facility, at 6000 Condor Drive. The development team included general contractor Oltmans Construction Co. and designer Hill Pinckert Architects Inc.
