Countywide : Children’s Foundation Officers Are Reelected

All four officers of the Orangewood Children’s Foundation were recently reelected to new terms in office, executive director William G. Steiner announced.

Developer William Lyon, who has headed the foundation since its inception in 1980, will continue as chairman of the 21-member board of directors. Kathryn G. Thompson was reelected vice chairman; Robert Ihrke, secretary, and Dale Paisley, chief financial officer.

Thompson, Ihrke and Paisley also were reelected to new three-year terms on the board along with Judie Argyros, Christy D’Ambrosio and James McNamara.

Four new members were elected to the board: Kevin Forth, chief executive officer of Straub Distributing Co.; Reed Royalty, area vice president for Pacific Bell; David Wilson, president of Toyota of Orange; Gonzalo Fernandez, vice president of Wells Fargo Bank.

Robert Morgan, a founding member of the foundation, retired from the board.

The foundation, initially established to raise private funds to construct the Orangewood Children’s Home, focuses on helping abused and neglected children.
