Drama Class Offered Jewish Singles

A summer drama program for Jewish singles ages 21 to 40 is offered by the Jewish Community Center of Central Orange County, 12181 Buaro St., Garden Grove.

The program, under the direction of Joyce Wolpert, will focus on exploring one’s Jewish identity, creative movement and drama as a form of expression. The workout group will select themes such as holidays, prayers, biblical characters, history, spirituality and Torah wisdom.

The classes are on Mondays, July 11 through Aug. 29, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Registration is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. For information, call (714) 534-8011.

St. Michael’s Abbey will host its 27th annual Deep-Pit Barbecue Dinner and Festival on Sunday at 11 a.m. on the abbey grounds at 19292 El Toro Road, El Toro. The festival will feature children’s game booths, live entertainment, a silent auction with gifts for dad, a U.S. Marine Helicopter display and a family portrait booth.
