A $4,000 grant from the GTE Foundation Lectureship Program will enable Cal State Fullerton to present monthly forums starting this fall in a series called “Science, Technology, Human Values and Aging,” the university announced.
The forum is “designed to promote discussions among students, faculty members, senior citizens and scientists,” a university spokeswoman said. Seven gerontologists--specialists in the study of aging--will be among the speakers at the lectures. The first lecture is to be given in October; the programs will continue through May.
Jeffry J. Young, a professor at Cal State Fullerton, wrote the proposal for the grant.
