Share

It will be ocean-fishing party time Monday for 300 underprivileged children who might never get a chance to fish otherwise.

The Los Angeles Rod and Gun Club’s 36th annual event will take over the Annie B Barge in Los Angeles Harbor.

There will be two groups, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with 150 transported each session aboard the shore boat Billy V.

Seymour Rimland, one of the club’s organizers, said that in addition to rods and reels being provided, prizes and trophies will be awarded in both sessions. No child will leave without a gift. There will be plenty of food as well, all donated.
