Beverly Hills : Restaurant Deadline Extended

Share

The City Council has extended for 90 days the deadline for restaurant owners to file plans for ventilation systems for separate smoking and no smoking areas.

The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce asked for the extensions because many restaurants are participation the city’s 75th birthday celebration, which begins July 3 and continues for 14 months.

Chamber officials also said they were interested in exploring the possible expansion of the city’s no smoking ordinance to include other businesses through either voluntary or mandatory compliance.

The chamber is expected to report its findings to the City Council in mid August.
