Alleged Attacker of Therapist in Stable Condition

Share

Steven Blemker, who was shot twice by a physical therapist Friday at Martin Luther Hospital Medical Center in Anaheim after he reportedly tried to rape her, was in stable condition Saturday at the hospital.

Hospital spokeswoman Betty Bartley said police officers were guarding Blemker, 30, of Anaheim and that he probably would be transferred today to the jail ward at UCI Medical Center in Orange.

The physical therapist, who was not identified, told police that while Blemker was assaulting her she was able to wrest from him one of two handguns he brought to a scheduled therapy session.
