Local News in Brief : Nixon Library Picture, Model to Be on View
A scale model and an artist’s rendering of the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library will be on view Wednesday evening after the meeting of the Yorba Linda Planning Commission.
Representatives of the Newport Beach offices of Langdon Wilson Mumper, architects of the library, will also answer questions about the final design, according to Odile Nicolette, a spokeswoman for the firm.
The Planning Commission on Wednesday is expected to review and approve final architectural plans for the $25-million complex.
The two-level, 84,500-square-foot facility will be located at the northeast corner of Yorba Linda Boulevard and Eureka Avenue on the grounds of the original Nixon homestead.
The small, wood-frame house where Nixon was born 75 years ago will remain on the library grounds.
