Saxophone Quartet to Perform Downtown

The Encore Saxophone Quartet will perform today at the outdoor Spiral Court at California Plaza in downtown Los Angeles kicking off the free noontime concerts offered this summer by the International Music Foundation/Los Angeles Dame Myra Hess Concert Series.

Previously staged at the Transamerica Auditorium, the concerts will run through Sept. 28 and feature the Malboro String Quartet on July 6, cellist Timothy Landauer on July 13, the Brilliant Brass on July 20 and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra Players on July 27.
