ZURICH, Switzerland — Mexico was banned from all international soccer competition today, including the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.
The FIFA, soccer’s world governing body, banned Mexico for two years because a Mexican junior team used four players who were over the age limit in a recent world championship qualifying game. The severe sanction, which cannot be appealed, will disqualify Mexico from the 1990 World Cup.
