Malibu : 4 Water Wells to be Installed
Four wells will be installed on Calle del Barco and Rambla Orienta to prevent landslides caused by ground-water saturation, according to Supervisor Deane Dana.
The wells will be 100 to 130 feet deep and will include collector pipes to carry water into storm drains. Work will start in September and will be completed in October.
The project will be financed by property owners through an assessment district established by the board.
