Local News in Brief : 2 Planning Commissioners Named
Hermosa Beach residents Christine Ketz, a self-employed planning consultant, and John Edwards, an environmental engineer for the Air Force, were appointed by the City Council this week to four-year terms on the Planning Commission.
They replace Jerry Compton, who served for four years, and Tony DeBellis, a former councilman who served for seven months. DeBellis, who failed to win reelection to the City Council in November, had been appointed to the Planning Commission to serve the remainder of the term of Chuck Sheldon, who was elected to the council.
Ketz, 40, and Edwards, 43, were chosen from among four applicants for the volunteer positions.
