What a great idea--the staff of the Boston Phoenix newsweekly recently picked the 10 Worst Songs of the ‘70s. (Selections included Captain & Tennille’s “Muskrat Love,” Paul Anka’s “Having My Baby” and-- of course-- Morris Albert’s “Feelings.”) Pop Eye was going to choose our fave pop clinkers, but had a sudden attack of conscience--why should we hog all the fun? What songs do you think were the worst of the ‘70s and ‘80s? Send us your Bottom 10. Any songs released after Altamont are eligible (except for obvious novelty songs). We’ll print the results later this month. Mail ballots to Pop Eye, Los Angeles Times, Times Mirror Square, Los Angeles 90053.
