Fireworks Display Goes Up in 1 Boom

DULUTH, Minn. —
The Fourth of July aerial display had barely started when an exploding shell touched off the city’s entire supply of fireworks in a “major explosion,” officials said today.
Thousands of spectators had to be hurriedly evacuated from a park along the shore of Lake Superior, but no major injuries were reported. Two workers with the crew handling the fireworks were treated for minor burns.
