Australian golfer Greg Norman reinjured his left wrist during a practice round this week and has decided to pull out of the British Open later this month, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Norman aggravated the wrist sprain Monday at the Big Cypress Resort, where he was playing his first full practice round since he was injured when his club struck a rock in the rough at Brookline, Mass., and forced him to withdraw from the U.S. Open June 17.
On the advice of his orthopedic surgeon, Norton Baker, Norman decided to withdraw from the British Open and will be unable to play for at least a month, the newspaper said.
