Weather perfect for outdoor activities is on tap for today and through the weekend, forecasters say, although there will be the usual late-night and early-morning low clouds.

“There will be a lot of sunshine, with early-morning clouds burning off earlier today and Saturday,” National Weather Service forecaster Wilbur Shigehara said. “The weather is following fairly close to its normal pattern for this time of the year.”

The early-morning burn-off is the result of a high pressure moving over Southern California, Shigehara said. But, by Sunday, the high pressure is expected to weaken, increasing late-night and morning low clouds.

The forecast for the beaches is for fair through Saturday, with highs ranging from 67 to 74 degrees, and slightly lower temperatures Sunday. The water temperature at the shore will be near 68.

Highs along the coastal strip will range from 74 to 79 through Saturday, dropping slightly Sunday, with lows of 60 to 66 through the weekend, the forecast says.

Inland highs will be 82 to 92 degrees, with lows of 55 to 63.

Mountains and deserts will remain clear, with a few afternoon clouds through Saturday.

Desert highs will reach 105 to 110, and lows will be 70 to 80 through Saturday, dropping slightly Sunday.
