Manager Frank Robinson of the Baltimore Orioles was recuperating at home after collapsing at Baltimore Washington International Airport.

Robinson, 52, was waiting for a flight to Cincinnati, where he was to attend major league baseball’s All-Star game, when he fell to the floor. A team spokesman said that Robinson apparently suffered a bad reaction to a drug he took to alleviate pain caused by a slipped disk.

Robinson was taken home by his wife, Barbara, and daughter, Nichelle, who were waiting with him when he collapsed.

The spokesman said that Robinson will likely be able to manage the Orioles Thursday night, when they play a twi-night doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins.

Robinson, who has been bothered by the slipped disk since early in the season, aggravated the injury Sunday night after the Orioles defeated the Texas Rangers, 2-1, at Memorial Stadium.
